Who’s taking part?

As ever, the State of Origin series sees the best Rugby league players from the states of Queensland and New South Wales doing battle for one of the sport’s most prestigious titles.

If the opening match is anything to go by, it promises to be a close and thrilling series (spoiler alert – you can watch the first game on-demand on 9Now now!). Queensland just pipped New South Wales on home soil in Brisbane with two tries from Dan Gagai and another from Corey Oates helping them to an 18-14 victory.
