If you want to watch Xfinity in the UK or anywhere outside the US then you’ve come to the right place. I’m going to be honest, I hadn’t actually heard of Xfinity until today and I’m pretty surprised about that.
After I stumbled across it today I was amazed at how much US content is available from series to movies and much more besides. Hulu used to be the go to free streaming system from the United States that users around the world flocked to in order to keep up to date with US drama and reality shows but since Hulu has become subscription only an alternative is needed.
Xfinity could be that alternative and more.
Xfinity TV Go as it is officially called is a Comcast service that carries a range of free to view shows and movies. It also has some subscription channels so if you’re a US Comcast customer but currently outside the United States then this guide will be suitable for you too.
From Grimm to Blue Bloods and Heroes Reborn to Grey’s Anatomy it seems Xfinity has most of the big name shows that people love watching and with a free movie section to you’re likely to find something for everyone.
How to Watch Xfinity in the UK
If you’ve visited the Xfinity TV Go website already because you want to watch Xfinity in the UK or elsewhere then you’ll know that you hit a blockade and you’re hit with the following message.
This is really disappointing if one of your favourite shows is available on the site.
The great news is there is a way to appear as if you’re in the US even though you’re in the UK. All it requires is a $6.49 VPN package from a company such as IPVanish.
A VPN is a small piece of software that you install on your computer or other device like a tablet or phone and it allows you to mask your location and virtually reside in another location.
As Xfinity is only available in the US you want to appear as if you’re in the US and so can use the VPN service to do this regardless of where you are. This will allow you to watch Xfinity in the UK or any other location in the world.
So Where can I get a VPN to watch Xfinity in the UK?
It’s not hard to find a VPN service, a quick Google for the term “VPN” will bring up hundreds of options. There are some very good VPN services out there but there are also some bad ones and discovering the good ones can be hit and miss.
A decent VPN provider should cost you no more than US$10 per month which is about £6.55, but it will be cheaper if you opt to sign up for a 3 or 12 month contract which is worth considering when you see the available content on Xfinity TV Go.
To save you the trouble I’ve put together a list of the best three providers to watch Xfinity in the UK. I’ve been using IPVanish to watch and they are my Editor’s Choice VPN provider but feel free to check out all three companies before deciding on which you prefer.
Rank | Provider | Lowest Price | Review | Link |
---|---|---|---|---|

How do I use the VPN to watch Xfinity in the UK
After you’ve signed up to a provider of your choice you will be provided with links to download their software for either a PC or Mac computer and with the three providers above they also have Android and iOS apps so will be given links to each respective app store.
Simply download and install the software or app for your system.
Once you’ve installed all you need to do is launch the software or app and then connect to a “US Server”. This is usually relatively easy to find and will be depicted with the US flag.
In the IPVanish software shown below it’s listed under Server Selection and then US Media or Gaming.
IPVanish US Media or Gaming
The software takes care of the connection for you.
Once connected visit the Xfinity TV Go website and you’re able to watch any of the freely available content in the UK or elsewhere in the world.
