If you’re a US resident travelling and have a WWE account or you’re not a US resident but you want to watch on the official WWE website then this guide is for you.
In this guide you’ll learn the simple steps on how to bypass the geographical blocks that stop you watching your account outside the US.
Surprisingly it’s actually really easy so let’s take a look how you can watch WWE Survivor Series including the mega match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg outside the US.
How to watch WWE Survivor Series 2016 outside US
If you’re in the UK, Canada or plenty of other places outside the US then when you try to watch pay-per-view events such as the WWE Survivor Series you’re blocked from viewing.
Rather than being able to stream content you’ll just see a black screen or a message similar to the following.
Why is WWE blocked
WWE is blocked because the website can determine your location and knows that you’re outside the US.
Every internet connection broadcasts its location through something called an IP Address.
An IP Address is unique to your connection similar to a phone number and tells websites where to send all the bits of data and who requested to view what.
Unfortunately it is this IP Address that gives away your location. The good news is though that you can easily change your IP Address to one from another country which will let you watch the event live.
How can I get a new IP Address to watch WWE
To get a new IP Address from the United States that will let you watch the WWE Survivor Series anywhere in the world all you need to do is sign-up for a VPN service.
A VPN is a small piece of software for your computer or app for your tablet or phone that allows you to change your IP Address to one from another country.
To watch WWE you’ll need an IP Address from the United States.
Where can I get a VPN service
Just quickly searching Google for “VPN” will bring up thousands of options for VPN services.
To stream live video you need a fast VPN service and with them all being similarly priced (between US$5 – $10 / £4 – £8) it can be difficult to know who is fast enough to stream WWE outside the US.
I’ve tested a selection of providers and found IPVanish to be the best to stream WWE outside the US. All you need to do is click the green button below to visit their website and sign up.
