The world cup in Brazil is now well under way. We’re now entering the second stage of the tournament.
There are a few TV networks around the world who are showing all the world cup 2014 games live online without the need for any type of subscription. The downside is they restrict viewing to viewers of that country only. For example the BBC in the UK only allows residents in the UK to view the games. No need to worry because there is a completely legal system called a Virtual Private Network that will allow you to bypass those regional restrictions and view the matches live no matter where you live.
A Virtual Private Network sounds extremely complicated to use but I guarantee that you’ll be amazed at how simple it is. Watch the video below to see just how easy it is and then I’ll tell you how to get going yourself.
See, I told you it was easy! A Virtual Private Network aka VPN service is not free, although you don’t need to panic because they are extremely cheap and won’t set you back more than about US$5-$10 (£3 – £6) and with the World Cup being on they are even offering promotions so you’ll save even more. You can watch ALL the matches with just one account!
For streaming live video like the world cup you’ll need a premium VPN provider otherwise you’ll suffer stuttering, jerkiness and even complete pauses on the video. We recommend the three providers listed below. I personally recommend IPVanish but any of the three providers are suitable.
Each provider has easy to use software for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices like the iPad and iPhone. You’ll receive instructions on where to download the required software, if you struggle then we’ve even written a simple guide for VyprVPN on how to download and install the VyprVPN software.
There are four main TV networks showing the matches. The BBC and ITV are showing them in the UK, to access these connect to a UK server/connection via your software and head over to BBC iPlayer or ITV Player. Depending on which is showing the match, you can see our table below for the schedule.
You can also watch the matches live on the Irish network RTE, connect to an Irish server/connection and visit the RTE Player by following our link.
Finally you can watch the matches live on the Canadian network CBC, connect to a Canadian server/connection and visit the CBC Player by following our link.
Now enjoy watching the world cup matches live online with this simple solution.
