ICC Champions Trophy predictions
Pundits claim that England, India, Australia and South Africa are the teams to watch for semi-final positions.
India have been tipped as a better side than the one that took the 2013 tournament but with England off to a great start beating Bangladesh and looking hungry for the title, coupled with home support they’re surely a favourite this time around.
Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara puts India as his firm favourite and said of the current team “In fact, the team is arguably stronger, better balanced with real firepower in its fast bowling.”
England disappointed at the 2015 world cup and their improvement since then has been evident. They’re one of the favourites this time around and will be aiming to claim their first piece of silverware at an ICC 50-over event.
England are definitely in with a chance but commentators suggest that you shouldn’t rule out Australia or South Africa just yet.
Whoever wins the tournament promises to be full of excitement.
