How to watch Doctor Who Return of Doctor Mysterio outside UK

Doctor Who The Return of Doctor Mysterio

Doctor Who is back with The Return of Doctor Mysterio and if you want to know how you can watch it outside the UK then this guide will help.

Doctor Who Series 10 will kick off on December 25th, 2017 with a special titled The Return of Doctor Mysterio after which a 12 part series will air in April 2017.

How to watch Doctor Who The Return of Doctor Mysterio outside the UK

To watch outside the UK you’re going to need to sign up for a VPN service.

Doctor Who will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and if you visit from outside the UK then you’ll be blocked from viewing.

BBC iPlayer Blocked July 2016

A VPN allows you to change your online location so when you visit the BBC iPlayer website it thinks you are in the UK and instead of being blocked with the message above you’ll be able to watch from anywhere in the world.

Where to get a VPN

There are a lot of choices when it comes to VPN services and just Googling the name can leave you baffled by all the options.

Not all VPN services are made the same and the most important factor is speed. If you’re streaming Doctor Who from the UK to your location then you need the service to be fast.

I recommend using IPVanish because they’re our number one rated service and one of the fastest we’ve tested. This means you’ll avoid buffering and be able to enjoy Doctor Who without interruption.

Click the orange button below to visit their website.

What to do once you’ve signed up

Once you’ve joined you need to download the software or app for your device.

IPVanish has both software for Windows and Mac computers and apps for Android and iOS tablets or phones.

You can download the IPVansh software from the Apps area of their website.

To download the mobile apps visit your App store and search “IPVanish”.

Once downloaded and installed run the software or app.

You should log in when required.

Next select the United Kingdom option and press Connect.

Windows / Mac:

IPVanish UK Server

Android / iOS:

IPVanish v3 Country

The software or app will now take care of the hard work for you and make connection to the UK.

Once it is complete it will tell you it is connected which should only take approximately 15 seconds.

Now you’re connected there is nothing more to do. All that is left is for you to visit BBC iPlayer at 17:45 on Christmas Day and you’ll be able to watch Doctor Who The Return of Doctor Mysterio outside the UK.

If you’re not able to make the live airing then you can use BBC iPlayer to watch on catch-up.

What to do when you’ve finished

When you’ve finished watching all you need to do is press the red Disconnect button which will be in the same place the green Connect button was.

It’s worth signing up for an annual service with IPVanish because it makes the monthly cost much cheaper and with the full series of Doctor Who starting in April you’ll be able to keep it to watch that too.

About Doctor Who

If you’re in the UK you can simply tune into BBC One on Christmas day at 17:45 and watch without issue. You can also use the online service BBC iPlayer to watch live or if you miss the live viewing then you can watch on catch-up too.

If you’re outside the UK then officially you’re going to have to wait longer until it’s shown in your country and depending on where you live it might not be shown at all.

The good news is the above instructions will let you watch Doctor Who The Return of Doctor Mysterio at the same time as those in the UK.

So if you’re a British resident on holiday, an expat or you’ve never even set foot in the UK and you’re just a massive Doctor Who fan then you can now watch at the first possible opportunity.
