How to watch 2015 Formula 1 online

Watch the Formula 1 2017 season by reading this guide.

The Formula 1 2015 season kicked off in Australia on 15th March 2015 and will run until the final race in Abu Dhabi on 29th November 2015. With Mercedes current defending champion it promises to be a great season but one of the issues many face is how to watch Formula 1 online in the 2015 season.

Formula 1 2015 season live

There are a number of channels around the world showing the Formula 1 live on TV but for those of you who want to watch online the difficulty in finding a reliable and official stream in good quality is one of the biggest issues you will face. Too many “free” streaming websites exist that not only turn out to be poor quality but are also full of pop up adverts, trojans and viruses that can do irreparable harm to your computer.

There are a range of official streams online, some of the more well known ones are iPlayer from the BBC in the UK and TenPlay from Ten in Australia. These sites are great but one problem for you is they only allow streaming in their respective country, iPlayer is restricted to UK viewers and TenPlay to Australians and with others being restricted to their own countries watching all the races can be almost impossible.

How you can watch live streams online

A legal tool known as a Virtual Private Network (VPN for short) allows you to anonymise your internet connection to protect it from hackers and other nefarious types. A by-product of this anonymisation is it allows you to fool websites in to thinking you’re in a completely different location. This will allow you to watch Formula 1 2015 live online from any streaming website worldwide.

All good VPN providers offer software to connect to various locations around the world. One of the best is IPVanish who offer a wide range of locations to connect to and give the impression you’re in that country. This is great for watching Formula 1 2015 online because there are a handful of sites streaming the various races meaning that with 1 VPN package from IPVanish you can watch every F1 race online.

What is the best VPN to use

Due to the good service and many countries available to connect to I recommend IPVanish for watching Formula 1 2015 online but there are other good providers listed in our VPN Comparison Guide. I do however recommend the following three providers for the most reliable streaming experience.

  1. IPVanish
  2. ExpressVPN
  3. VyprVPN

Once you’ve signed up, just download their provided software for your system, either Windows, Mac, Android or iOS and connect to the relevant country given below in our table, then click the link to the live stream.

Where can I watch with the VPN

One of the best places to watch Formula 1 online is BBC iPlayer but you will need to use VyprVPN to watch there as some VPN providers are blocked. You can watch from anywhere in the world, the problem is the BBC aren’t showing all the races so we’ve put together a list of what country server you need to connect to a link to the official online stream.

It really is that simple, the actual name of the system sounds complicated but in reality it isn’t and can be easily used by anyone. A VPN in its intended purpose is to encrypt your internet connection and protect people outside from stealing your data. Originally their use was for business but these days millions of everyday users make use of them to protect their online browsing habits.

As said earlier one of the benefits and a side effect is it allows you to appear as if you’re in a different country so any site that previously blocked you from viewing for being outside of the country will now happily stream you live Formula 1. There are hundreds of other uses for VPN services so feel free to take a look around our website to find out what else you can put the same subscription to use to.
