If you’re looking for the fastest UK VPN Server for December 2015 then you’ve come to the right place. This month I’ve been testing a selection of 10 of the top VPN providers to see how their speeds shape up as the year draws to a close.
It’s been a rather consistent year with three VPN providers regularly feature in the top spot, in fact, there has been very little between them and they’ve leapfrogged each other for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position over the past twelve months. 2015 has definitely been a fast year for IPVanish, LiquidVPN and VPN.ac.
Without further ado let’s take a look at how the UK VPN server speeds measured up for December 2015.
UK VPN December 2015 Speed Results
Local connection speed at the time of the test : 207.87 Mbps
All speeds tests were carried out on Thursday 3rd December 2015 between 11 am and 12 noon.
Each provider was tested via their own custom software on a Windows 10 system apart from Ironsocket and Overplay who don’t provide software.
A download manager was used to open concurrent connections to the test file and gain maximum speed. Each provider was tested using OpenVPN with the UDP protocol and 256 bit encryption apart from ExpressVPN and TorGuard who only allow 128 bit via their custom software.
As has been the case for nearly every month of the past 12, IPVanish, VPN.ac and LiquidVPN came out in the top three proving themselves to be three of the fastest VPN providers in the industry. I really can’t stress how consistently fast in comparison to the rest of the VPN industry these three providers have been and if speed is your concern they should be your first port of call.
Overall decent speeds from most providers this month with only TunnelBear slipping low compared to last months result.
Winter signals streaming time!
As the winter months are well and truly amongst us for those of you who don’t live in a perma-sunshine country we’ll be now spending more time indoors and with Christmas just around the corner the online entertainment available should rocket this month.
Signing up to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime will be on the minds of many of you and if you’re after some festive movies then that is definitely a good move. This months speed result selection should give you an idea of which providers are going to allow you to stream from around the world without interruption and buffering.
As with all results, these are speeds achieved by me personally at one moment in time and are only a snapshot of the whole picture. Results may vary for yourself.
I’ll see you after the festivities in January to see if the top three are still holding their own in the speed stakes.
