Does IPVanish work with Netflix: Answered

Does IPVanish work Netflix

In this guide you’re going to discover if IPVanish works with Netflix. I’ve been researching this very question to find you the answer.

IPVanish has become one of the largest VPN providers in the industry. They’re known for fast speeds, offering more multiple connections than any other provider and offering an all round good service.

Netflix is the largest online streaming service in the world. It offers a whole host of movies and TV shows. Sadly though, one of the negatives of Netflix is the content varies by region and this is where VPN services come in to play.

A VPN can allow you to switch region and access content from other countries on Netflix. But the million dollar question is, is IPVanish one of them? and does IPVanish work with Netflix? Find out what I discovered.

Does IPVanish work with Netflix?

Unfortunately after multiple tests, the short answer is, No, IPVanish does not work with Netflix.

I tested a whole range of servers across multiple cities. While I did find the occasional server that worked with Netflix, it was far and few between and in my opinion would make watching Netflix too much of a headache.

If you’re like most users you’ll be mainly interested in accessing American Netflix. After, all after the Japanese Netflix website, it has the largest catalogue of movies and TV shows in the world.

I found accessing American Netflix with IPVanish very laboured and over 95% of servers tested didn’t work with Netflix.

On the upside IPVanish does work (albeit in limited capacity) with some overseas Netflix services such as the Australian Netflix website. If you want to watch movies like Wonder Woman and Dunkirk then the Aussie Netflix site is the place to be.

Again, it only works on select servers usually within the higher server number range, eg; syd-a59.

What VPN works with Netflix?

Although IPVanish doesn’t work with Netflix there are plenty of VPN services that are working with Netflix and will let you access the most popular American Netflix website.

My recommendations are ExpressVPN and NordVPN which have continued to work well for well over 18 months.

ExpressVPN is definitely my favourite VPN service for watching Netflix because it seems regardless of which US-based VPN server I connect to, they all work with Netflix.

They also have the added bonus of having an Amazon Fire TV/Fire Stick app so if you’ve got Netflix installed on that then you can tap into the American Netflix website and watch on your TV.

Signing up for any VPN service to watch Netflix can feel like a bit of a gamble, it isn’t like a few years ago when every VPN service worked. Thankfully ExpressVPN offers a massive 30-day money back guarantee to give you plenty of time to test it with Netflix and check it’s working.

If you can’t get it working for whatever reason then just get your money back – no problem. They also have an offer on at the moment that includes 3-months free if you take an annual package and with savings up to 49% off the standard price it’s well worth checking out.

It’s not all bad news for IPVanish

It’s certainly not all bad news for IPVanish. Although they don’t work with Netflix they are really useful if you’re looking for a VPN for other uses.

If you’re a Kodi user then you’ll appreciate the fact they work well with Real Debrid, in fact, they’re one of the best in terms of compatibility.

With servers in over 60 countries across the world you’ve got plenty of scope for use with Real Debrid leading to more links and better streams.

They also claim to store no-logs of user access and after a bit of a recent historical scandal which you can read about here, they’ll want to ensure they’re sticking to their claims otherwise it would be a PR disaster.

It’s worth taking a look at our IPVanish review if you want to know more about what their service can and can’t do. They can’t access Netflix but they do offer an all-round good service.

Remind me again how I can access Netflix with a VPN

IPVanish doesn’t work with Netflix.

If you want to watch American Netflix and other Netflix regions you’re going to need to sign up for a provider that does.

ExpressVPN and NordVPN are my two recommended choices when it comes to finding a VPN that works with Netflix. Personally I would choose ExpressVPN because of their risk-free 30-day money back guarantee and the free 3 months you can get on their annual service.

However, you can choose either. Why not take a look at the both and choose the one you think is best? You really can’t go wrong because they both work well with Netflix.
