Your privacy is valuable, none more so than online.
As we all connect to the internet on a daily basis it means the assault on your privacy is ever present and it’s only getting worse.
With data breaches, companies vacuuming up your data and even governments snooping on what you’re doing online it’s become a free-for-all privacy grab.
It’s infectious across the world, everything from the British Airways privacy breach in the UK, Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong to health records in Australia.
While you can’t protect against business data breaches there is a way you can fight back and regain a grip on your privacy and what you’re sharing.
This comes in the form of a VPN app and it’s this VPN that is a MUST have if you really care about your online privacy.
ExpressVPN can help regain your privacy
VPN apps on a whole can help you regain a grip on your privacy and take some of the choices that are taken away from you back. It’s one of the reasons we do a yearly round-up of the Best VPN services.
ExpressVPN is the number 1 VPN provider for the job and we know this because we’ve compared VPN services from across the globe.
The quality from ExpressVPN hasn’t just happened overnight. They’ve been building and adding to their service over the past few years to make it the number 1 choice VPN service.
But what makes ExpressVPN stand out from the crowd?
Well, apart from an all-round excellent service some standout features are:
- VPN Servers in over 94 locations across the globe.
- Apps for Android, Apple iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, routers and Amazon Fire TV devices.
- A huge 30-day money back guarantee.
- Registered in an off-shore location.
- Browser extensions for all the most popular browsers.
- 5 different types of VPN protocol.
- High levels of encryption used.
- Encrypted zero-knowledge DNS servers.

Don’t all VPN services basically do the same?
That’s the problem. All VPN services essentially sell the same service.
One major difference is the quality.
While they’re all selling privacy-protection some don’t actually supply what they claim to offer.
One of the most important factors to consider is logging. Does your VPN provider retain logs of what you do while connected?
You could of course check out our Best Logless VPN guide where we’ve compared five of the leading providers who claim not to log.
While most don’t log there are some that claim they don’t but when push comes to shove (ie; a court case) then they’ve handed over the supposed non-existent logs in a heartbeat.
ExpressVPN found itself caught up in one of the highest profile cases in recent times.
When a Russian diplomat whats gunned down in Turkey it transpired that someone involved had made use of ExpressVPN.
Requests were made for some kind of help but ExpressVPN was unable to assist because they don’t retain logs of your access.
It is this kind of case that backs up their claims and while nothing is 100% guaranteed it goes a long way to developing your trust for their service versus another unproven service.
Can’t I just get a free VPN instead?
Well, you could, but I don’t recommend it.
I get it, who wants to pay for something you can get for free?
But then you have to consider the quality and more importantly ask yourself, what is the VPN provider getting out of it?
Hosting hundreds of servers across the world is an expensive business and if you’re not paying for it, how do they make money?
Unfortunately many ‘free’ VPN services use underhand tactics like injecting ads into your connection or monitoring and selling your online usage. Just check out the horror stories here and here.. oh and here.
Now if you really care about your privacy then that kind of defeats the object of using a VPN in the first place.
If you don’t want to simply take my word for it that ExpressVPN is the best VPN service out there right now then check out some of the other good choices such as IPVanish, CyberGhost VPN or NordVPN.
But please, don’t even consider a ‘free’ VPN. You would be better off using no VPN than a free one.

Any VPN deals then?
You’re a man (or woman) after my own heart if you’re after a deal.
Even though we agree that you should pay for a VPN service you still don’t want to pay more than you need to.
Luckily ExpressVPN has a deal right now that gives you 3-months completely free. The only caveat is you will need to take their 12-month package.
So if you’re after a 1-month package this won’t save you anything.
It’s definitely worth considering their 12-month package though because it comes with 3-months entirely free which makes the service 49% cheaper than paying on a monthly basis.
You won’t even need to enter any codes to take advantage just use this special link to avail the deal and save yourself 49% off the price.
There are lots of VPN services to choose from. In fact there are too many.
There is certainly no 1 VPN service that is best above all. There are good VPN services and there are bad ones.
ExpressVPN on balance offers more and has a reputation greater than many others. While there are a few other comparable services I find no reasons to choose them over ExpressVPN.
If you’re looking to protect your privacy and get the most for your money then ExpressVPN is definitely where you want to look.
Don’t forget they’ve got a huge 30-day money back guarantee too which will let you test them for a full month. If you don’t agree with our assessment or they’re just not for you then get your money back no questions asked.
Have you tried ExpressVPN? What did you think of their service? I would love to hear your thoughts so why not post in the comments section below.
