How to cancel a VPN Unlimited KeepSolid subscription?

VPN Unlimited

VPN Unlimited is one of the most popular VPN services out there with over 1 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone.

But, it may not be for you and in this guide we’ll be showing you how to cancel your account quickly.

The service offers quite a bit, such as more than 400 servers in over 80 locations around the world. It supports countless devices and systems, including all of the most popular browsers.

It also has relatively low prices, on top of a 7-day free trial period. That way, you get to test it before actually purchasing the plan.

But, what if you purchased a subscription and then decided that you wish to stop using this VPN? What if you found a better one, or if you simply don’t need it anymore?

Keep scrolling to discover how to cancel and if getting a refund is possible.

Can I cancel my VPN Unlimited subscription?

Of course, you can cancel your VPN Unlimited subscription at any time, although there is a catch.

You see, VPN Unlimited allows you to use a 7-day free trial to test its services before purchasing.

However, because it offers that, it doesn’t appear to have a money-back guarantee.

In other words, it will let you use its service for free for a week, and after that, it expects you to know whether you want to pay for it or not.

Once you pay, your money is gone, and you can’t get it back.

However, if you buy one of its plans and you don’t want to use the VPN anymore, you should still cancel your subscription.

That way, when it runs out, it won’t charge you again for renewal and take more of your money.

Here is how you can do just that:

Cancelling VPN Unlimited via the User’s Web Office

User’s Web Office is a place you should turn to, to cancel your subscription if you paid for the service via PayPal, PaymentWall, Amazon, or Stripe.

This is your control centre, where you can go to manage your subscription.

This is the place for managing all KeepSolid product subscriptions, and not only VPN Unlimited provided that you use more of KeepSolid’s products.

To cancel via this method, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://my.keepsolid.com/account.
  2. Log in with your KeepSolid ID (or your social media account if that is what you used).
  3. Click on your KeepSolid ID at the top, and go to Purchase History.
  4. Find your VPN Unlimited subscription on the list, and click on Manage then follow the cancellation procedure.

KeepSolid’s web office is where you can cancel your subscription.

That’s it. You will still have your VPN account until the subscription runs out, and when it does, it won’t get renewed.

Cancelling a Google Play subscription

If your subscription was made via Google Play on your Android device, then the process is a bit different.

You won’t use KeepSolid to cancel it, and instead, you should follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device or via a web browser.
  2. Sign in to your Google account if not already.
  3. On the left side of the screen, find Subscriptions, and click on it.
  4. Find your VPN Unlimited subscription.
  5. Click Manage, and then click Cancel Subscription.

Cancel via the Google Play Store.

That’s all there is to it.

Like before, you can use your VPN until your subscription runs out, and once it happens, that will be it – your VPN Unlimited won’t get renewed, and you will lose access to it.

Cancelling an Apple App Store subscription

Meanwhile, if you are an Apple product user, and you subscribed via iPhone or iPad, the process is once again a bit different.

However, you can quickly do it following these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap on your name.
  3. Select Subscriptions.
  4. Find and select your VPN Unlimited subscription.
  5. Tap on Cancel Subscription.

And, once again, that’s it.

The process is quick, and you should be done in less than a minute. After that, keep using your VPN or ignore it until the subscription runs out, it’s your choice.

Something to keep in mind before you cancel

One thing to keep in mind before you cancel is that you should be using a VPN for your online privacy.

The online world is far from safe, and if you tend to explore new websites, or if you wish to protect your privacy, a VPN is nothing short of a necessity.

If you had a technical issue with VPN Unlimited, we suggest trying to resolve the issue first, although truth be told it isn’t our favourite VPN service.

Top Tip

Check out our list of much better VPN providers.

If you want to try and resolve any issues, contact customer service, and explain the problem, rather than abandoning it right away.

With that said, if the VPN lacks features, server locations, or something else that you require, then there is no helping that, and you will have to cancel.

What to do after cancelling?

As mentioned, using a VPN is pretty much necessary if you wish to be safe, if you want to preserve your privacy, if you want to secure your downloads, or even unlock and stream content from other countries.

So, after cancelling VPN Unlimited, maybe consider getting a new VPN to replace it.

We recommend these:

1. ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN apps on multiple types of devices

First on the list, we have ExpressVPN, which is widely considered to be the best choice in the entire VPN world.

In our tests, we found they offer much faster speeds than the competition and as an overall service, they offer more.

It has a 30-day money-back guarantee, and their privacy credentials are strong. From being registered in the British Virgin Islands to having their no-log policy both audited and tested.

The service offers over 3,000 services in more than 94 different locations across the world.

It’s perfect for streaming, torrenting, online gaming, or casual browsing, and there are apps for every major device.

2. Surfshark

Another great option is Surfshark, which is another VPN from the British Virgin Islands.

This one also has a 30-day money-back policy, it doesn’t keep logs, and its prices are slightly below the industry standard.

Surfshark also offers the best security features, such as OpenVPN protocol, and 256-bit AES encryption.

As for its servers, it has a network that connects 63 countries, with more than 1700 servers. It is a young service, but one that has received widespread praise for the available features.

3. CyberGhost

Cyberghost Website

Lastly, we have CyberGhost a reputable service that has an impressive money-back guarantee that lasts for 45 days.

As for its server network, there are over 6,500 servers making it one of the largest VPN networks.

On top of that, the service can also afford not to keep any logs, as it is located in privacy-friendly Romania.

Meanwhile, it also uses all the strongest security and privacy features to protect its users’ data stream and hide it from view.

It supports torrenting, and it even has a list of the best servers to use for downloading torrents or unblocking streaming service.

Summary

VPN Unlimited is a popular VPN service, but it is by no means recommended by ourselves. There are certainly better services out there for the same or less.

However, if you’ve already signed up, you may be considering changing or cancelling altogether.

If for some reason it doesn’t offer what you need, then the best course of action would be for you to cancel your subscription and seek out an alternative.

Keep in mind that, if you have an issue with your VPN, it might be easier to try to fix it than replace the entire service.

However, if you decide to cancel then follow the steps from above then consider signing up for a service that we and others do recommend as mentioned above.
